Moving Forward with API Crisis Response Model - An Eastern - Western Integrative Approach
Paul C. Hoàng is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 16 years of experience providing direct services to Asians and Pacific Islanders, and 9 years of experience organizing community mental health conferences for the API population in California. Subjects of expertise include but are not limited to: severe persistent mental illness, cultural and intergenerational trauma, emergency mental health, spirituality, community and program development, media relations, and coalition building. Hoàng is the founder of Viet-CARE (Vietnamese Community Actions for Resources and Empowerment), a non-profit organization developed in 2008 to improve the lives of those suffering from mental illness as well as their caregivers and providers. In 2015, Hoàng also founded Moving Forward Psychological Institute, LLC (MFPI), a training firm providing psychological and behavioral health services as well as simulation training and consultation to individuals, families, businesses, community-based organizations, law enforcement, graduate students, and mental health providers.
